Chronic diseases accounted for 60% of all deaths – corresponding to a projected 36.65 million deaths worldwide in 2007. 2.8% of the world population suffers from diabetes mellitus and it may cross 5.4% by the year 2025. Hypertension is a major burden on health care. Prevalence of lifestyle-related diseases increases. Low accessibility to and non-affordability of orthodox medicine by rural dwellers and their need to keep healthy to be economically productive have led to their dependence on medicinal plants to remedy afflictions. Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) attracts patronage due to patients’ dissatisfaction with conventional health care, a desire for treatment and care that work, good relationship with practitioner, provision of information, a desire for greater control over one’s health, and a desire for cultural and philosophical congruence with personal beliefs about health and illness. Medicinal plants’ threatened sustainability makes adulteration and species’ substitutions reduce their efficacy, quality and safety. It was found that CAM practitioners who participated in this study relied heavily upon knowledge that had 'stood the test of time' (traditional theory and practice) and 'that which worked' (experientially based knowledge) as the basis for clinical decision-making. The safe, effective and efficient delivery of client care is informed primarily by sound clinical decision making. Body mass index (BMI) plays a significant role in the process. Strategies that guide practitioners through the process of decision making may not only foster professional excellence in CAM practice, but also help to improve the quality of client care. Clinical decision-making is a complex process that is reliant on accurate and timely information. Clinicians are dependent (or should be dependent) on massive amounts of information and knowledge to make decisions that are in the best interest of the patient. CAM practitioners of modern time need currency and timeliness on computations of patients’ body mass index, waist circumference and body shape combination; product/therapy data on therapeutic efficacy; product quality and safety; adverse reactions and herb-drug interactions. This paper presents a clinical decision diagnosis system supporting CAM practitioners to effectively treat emerging lifestyle-related diseases with medicinal plants.

The issue addressed in this research is how to design and build an expert systemwhich capable of diagnosing dog diseases that are caused by parasites, and how this expertsystem later can be useful for dog owners. This expert system is developed based on website technology in order to ease theaccessibility for the users. The finished product is expected to become useful for dog owners,to help them diagnose their dog disease based on the symptoms in order to give the propertreatment. The software development methodology used to develop this expert system is theWaterfall methodology, while the design is done using Unified Modeling Language (UML).The programming language used to build the expert system is PHP for the logic and MySQLfor the database, and the finished product is then tested using black box testing method. Totest system accuracy, disease diagnosis results from the expert system is then compared withdiagnosis results from the real human expert (veterinarian). This expert system is using forward chaining method and Bayes theorem. The forwardchaining concept, in this system, starting with the symptoms that are set into a reasoning andrules to reach some conclusions which in this case are the possible diseases. While the Bayestheorem is used to draw a conclusion from the possible diseases by calculating the probabilityof what kind of disease suffered based on the symptoms, and the weight of the probabilityitself. This expert system, however, still can be developed not only to diagnose diseases thatare caused by parasites, but also to diagnose all kind of dog diseases

During the period of 2008 the distribution of KUR (Kredit Usaha Rakyat) is very effective when compared with the period of 2009. KUR velocity distribution may be due to the high banks inchanneling the spirit of KUR, is quite effective dissemination among the banking and society, policy ATMR (Aktiva Tertimbang Menurut Risiko) are more lax and the many demands ofprospective borrowers KUR decent but less bankable. The purpose of this paper is makingObtaining priority weight of each factor and alternative options to choose borrowers who receivedmicro-enterprise credit people with the greatest priority. Method this study outlined three stages in solving the problem. The first phase, analysiswas conducted to analyze the problem. The second step is data collection began with thedistribution of questionnaires, observation, interview and literature study. Data analysis phase asthe third stage, data analysis methods will be used is Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) indecision-making with the Expert Choice program analysis which is a computer software todetermine the choices in making decisions with multiple criteria decision making based on themethodology developed by Saaty. Results Decision Support system Kredit Usaha Rakyat Mikro disbursement by the banks which consists of six criteria: income level, frequency of credit, length of business, venture capital, education, loan repayment. The highest weighting is the criteria for venture capital, followed by the frequency of credit, length of business, income level, educational level and the last time loan repayment. Priority for the alternative name for the micro business sector borrowers candidate Peoples Business Loan (KUR) Micro getting KUR Micro is Food Enterprises, grocery and Business Enterprises Business Services and Agriculture and Fisheries
